Personal Protective Equipment(PPE)

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) refers to products designed to protect the  wearer or user from health and safety risks. PPE plays a crucial role in  safeguarding users in hazardous or high-risk environments, as well as in  domestic or recreational settings.

To ensure PPE products placed on the Great Britain market are safe and  compliant, the UK Personal Protective Equipment Regulations (Regulation  (EU) 2016/425 as brought into UK law and amended) establish the  requirements for UKCA marking. For Northern Ireland, PPE products must  continue to meet the EU Regulation (EU) 2016/425, bearing the CE + UKNI  marking where applicable.

As a UK Government-designated Approved Body (No. 1105) for PPE, CCQS provides  professional, independent, and efficient conformity assessment services to  help manufacturers demonstrate compliance for UK market access.
