About UKCA Certification
UKCA certification, also known as United Kingdom Conformity Assessed, is a new UK product safety certification mark. The purpose of the UK government's launch of this logo is to replace the CE logo with it after Brexit, which will officially come into effect from January 1, 2021.
After the end of the Brexit transition period in the UK, starting from January 1, 2023, the UKCA mark will fully replace the CE mark as the conformity assessment mark for most goods in the UK Great Britain region.
Due to the Brexit agreement between the UK and Europe, the UKCA logo is currently only applicable to products placed on the market in the Great Britain region (England, Scotland, and Wales).
The UKCA logo alone cannot be used for products launched in the Northern Ireland market. Products placed in the Northern Ireland market require the use of the CE logo or both the CE logo and UKNI logo.
The Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008
The Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations came into effect on December 29, 2009. This regulation covers machinery, including components of the machine, components or equipment attached to or used in conjunction with the machine, components combined with or assembled with the machine, and measures related to safety components used in elevators and elevators.
